Hemp hurd is produced through a process called decortication, which separates the woody inner core from the fibrous outer layer of the hemp stalk. A typical four-step production process includes:
1. Harvesting
- Hemp plants are grown and harvested once they reach maturity, usually between 3-4 months.
- With such a fast growth cycle, we typically can get two harvest rotations per year.
